Eztek Supports Employee's Long-Haul Tractor Drive for Charity

Eztek Limited is sponsoring employee Kenny Gill on a group tractor ride from Inverness to Stornoway, from July 26 to August 02, in order to raise money for Lewis and Harris Breast Cancer Support charity.

The group  driving the tractors will consist of 4 men from Blackburn, 6 from Ullapool, and 8 from the islands. The tractors will be taken by lorry up to Inverness where they will be unloaded for the drive to Ullapool. They will then be taken to Stornoway where the men will drive 72 miles around the island, and then continue down to the South Harris Agricultural Show. They head back to Skye on Wednesday and then make their way back to the lorry. The journey will take about a week overall.

Mr. Gill has participated in similar events over the last several years, with the money going to various charities. He says the appeal of these trips is “the scenery, the weather, and the warm welcome you get from everybody.”

The Lewis and Harris Breast Cancer Support charity was started in 1998 to provide extra support for those affected by breast cancer on the islands. More information can be found on their website, http://www.lhbcsg.org
