Eztek Limited, a provider of surface instrumentation to the oil and gas industry worldwide, has been awarded ISO 9001:2008 certification after demonstrating adherence to strict quality-management standards. This certification is awarded based on rigorous examination of procedures for quality control management which cover the full scope of the company’s activities.
“We’ve always been committed to providing quality solutions for our clients,” says Robin Hunter, General Manager. “This proves that we’re doing it right. We’re very proud of what we’ve achieved.”
Eztek, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, secured £0.5million in contracts between April and May, including a large order from Expro as well as an order for new 10 way Zone 1 rig intercoms. The intercoms will be part of Eztek’s TalkBack range, which has been used in the field for over 10 years. Though the intercoms are being built for a rig manufacturer in Italy, they will be used in Siberia and will be able to operate in temperatures up to – 50deg C.
This anniversary year has also seen an increase in staff at Eztek, with the hiring of more production staff and a regional salesperson.
Within the coming weeks Eztek will move ahead with the next phase of their long-term expansion plan, beginning construction on a new two-story office building that will sit between their warehouse and production facilities in Blackburn, Aberdeen.
